In a nutshell, Greater Boston has seen a continuing lack of inventory and rising prices in the face of rising demand.
As Eileen Woods at Boston.com says, "It’s the same old story: Rising prices, low inventory, fewer sales."
The trend is in line with what is happening in the market throughout the state.
